Maha Abdulla Sabt is the Acting Director of Population and Demographic Statistics Directorate in the Information & eGovernment Authority.

Maha Sabt began her career as a supervisor for Census 2010 then progressed to a statistician prior to becoming Chief of Environmental and Social statistics in iGA. She manages a team of professional statisticians in the field of population, demographics, and SDGs statistics, in addition to conducting population Census and Household surveys.

Maha Sabt is the National Focal Point for the SDGs  for Bahrain reporting to custodian agencies. Additionally, she is Bahrain’s representative in the Population and Social Standing Committee, development, progress and sustainability indicators Standing Committee at The Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf. In addition to the population policy committee at the Secretariat General of The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. She is also a member of Mathematics and statistics Program s Advisory Committee at university of Bahrain

She holds an MBA from DePaul University, a B.Sc. in Statistics and operational research from the University of Bahrain and a High diploma in Demography from the Cairo Demographic Center. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Human Resource form Bahrain Training Center. She has accumulated a distinct portfolio of achievements over the years, most notably preparing the Bahrain MDG’s Report 2015, the National UN-Habitat (III) report, the voluntary National report for Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs). She also contributed research paper in the Arab Family Health and Population Scientific Magazine..
